Why don't I see the scope pill or team chips?
Because you are the only person working in the workspace. Scout hides the scope controls when there is exactly one active working seat, because there is nobody to scope to — Mine, a team, and All would all show you the same list.
What else changes in a solo workspace
- Items are claimed for you automatically. Each new point arrives already yours, so you never have to press Claim just to start working.
- Team chips are absent from items. There is no useful distinction between your work and your team's work yet.
- Items do not lapse. Scout treats work in a single-seat workspace as already claimed, so nothing is moved to the Lapsed shelf out from under you.
How to get the scope controls back
- Open Settings → Workspace → People & roles.
- Invite a second person and choose their role.
- Once they accept, the scope control appears, team chips appear on items, and new points arrive unclaimed for whoever picks them up.
A Viewer counts. Even though a Viewer cannot claim or close anything, adding one is a second seat, so the workspace stops behaving as solo. If you want the shared behavior without giving anyone edit rights, that is the way to get it.
