CRM connections: HubSpot and Zoho CRM (coming soon)
Scout will read your customer relationship management system as one more source of evidence. This is not available today. The cards for HubSpot and Zoho appear in the Connections catalogue under CRM, and this page explains what they will add when they open.
What a CRM connection will read
- HubSpot — companies, contacts, deals, deal owners, and pipeline stages.
- Zoho CRM — accounts, contacts, deals, owners, stages, and references to standard activity such as tasks, events and calls.
All of it read-only, like every other connection. Scout will not create a deal, move a stage, log an activity, enrol a contact in anything, or send an email from your CRM.
Why it helps
Two things get better when Scout can see your CRM. Account ownership becomes certain, so a point about Camp Canine routes to the rep who actually owns Camp Canine instead of being proposed from the mailbox. And quote-time Watches get a cleaner source for quote lines and amounts than a sent quote document in a mailbox.
Neither is a blocker. Scout already reads quote documents out of connected mail, and already proposes an owner from your teams and your sources. A CRM makes those better, not possible.
What will not change
- Forecast amounts and close dates will stay planning context. A deal amount will not become an invoice, a customer promise, or realized value in Found.
- Your mailbox stays the authority on what was actually said and sent.
- A matching name or email address will produce an identity match for a person to confirm — Scout never merges two records silently.
Good to know
- There is no date for this. When the cards open, the button on the card changes from a padlock to Connect and this article is replaced with a full walkthrough.
- Scout is a companion to the systems you already run, not a replacement for your CRM.
- Sources you can connect today are listed in Connections overview.
