I didn't get my morning brief

Work through these in order. The first three explain most cases.

1. Check your schedule

  1. Open Settings → Workspace → Notifications.
  2. In the morning brief group, check the frequency: Off, Weekdays, or Daily. On Weekdays there is no brief on a Saturday or Sunday.
  3. Check the send time. There are nine fixed slots, every half hour from 6:00 to 10:00, and the default is 6:30.

2. Check "only when there is work"

If that option is on and you had nothing above the line, Scout sends nothing rather than sending an empty email. A quiet morning is a result, not a failure. Turn the option off if you would rather have the brief every scheduled day.

3. Check your time zone

Your brief lands on your clock. Your personal time zone is in Settings → Your account → Profile, and it overrides the workspace default. If you recently traveled or corrected it, your brief moved with it.

4. Check the address Scout has for you

Scout only sends to a verified email address. If you changed your address and have not confirmed the new one, there is no valid recipient yet. Confirm it from Settings → Your account → Sign-in & security.

5. Check whether email is switched off for you

Using the unsubscribe link in any Scout email stops these emails. You can turn them back on from the Notifications section. See Unsubscribing and turning email back on.

Separately, if a message to you bounced or was reported as spam, Scout records a delivery block and stops sending to that address until support clears it. You cannot clear this one yourself — contact support and say which address is affected.

6. Check that Scout had something to read

If every connection is in warning or error, coverage will be low and the brief will hold back dependent recommendations. See A connection shows Warning or Error.
