Your profile
Your profile is the small set of details about you that Scout HQ shows to your teammates and uses to time things correctly. It lives at Settings → Your account → Profile, it belongs to you alone, and it applies to you in every workspace you are a member of.

What is on the page
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Update avatar | Your picture, shown beside your name on items you are driving, in team lists, and in the assignment picker. PNG, JPEG, or WebP, smaller than 2 MB. |
| Name | "How you appear to teammates." Use the name your colleagues would recognize. |
| Shown here but not editable here — "Change your account email in Sign-in & security." | |
| Title | Free text, for example "Owner / Account lead" or "Production coordinator". It is a label for your teammates, not a permission. |
| Timezone | "Controls when your morning brief lands." Seven choices: Eastern · New York, Central · Chicago, Mountain · Denver, Mountain · Phoenix, Pacific · Los Angeles, Alaska · Anchorage, Hawaii · Honolulu. |
Edit your profile
- Choose your avatar in the top right of the header, then Your account. Or open Settings and choose Profile under YOUR ACCOUNT.
- Change Name, Title, or Timezone as you need.
- Choose Save changes.
Change your picture
- Choose Update avatar and pick an image file — PNG, JPEG, or WebP.
- Keep the file under 2 MB. If it is larger, Scout says "Choose an image smaller than 2 MB" rather than silently failing.
- Scout resizes the image to a small square and re-encodes it before it is stored. That is deliberate: it keeps the file small and strips the camera and location information most phone photos carry.
- Choose Save changes.
Good to know
- Only you can change your own profile. An Owner or Admin can change your role and your teams, but not your name, title, picture, or time zone.
- Your profile is account-wide. Change your name once and it is right in every workspace you belong to. Your role, your teams, and your work are per workspace.
- Your time zone here is personal; the workspace has its own Default timezone on the General page, which is what deadlines and the workspace's day are measured against. See Workspace settings (General).
- Your email address is not changed here because it is how you sign in. Changing it needs verification of the new address first — see Sign-in and security.
- A workspace also has an avatar, with the same file rules, but that one is an Owner or Admin setting rather than a personal one.
